Zenosis announce IT advances that offer yet more to their clients

A suite of technological advances implemented by Zenosis ensures that our system offers flexibility in delivery of up-to-date content while maintaining full compliance with major standards and regulations.

SCORM

Zenosis modules are now available in a form compatible with the international standard SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model). This allows them to be run on any Learning Management System. Clients can therefore have full flexibility of delivery of the modules on their own LMS if they wish. This option will typically appeal to large organisations who want to integrate Zenosis modules into their corporate educational infrastructure.

The latest client to take advantage of this functionality is the giant French pharma company Sanofi-Aventis. Zenosis delivered in August a suite of SCORM-compatible modules to their global regulatory affairs department. They will run on the client's Saba LMS. Through Zenosis's new Living Links technology, all hyperlinks in the modules will be kept up to date even though the modules are running on the client's server rather than ours.

With about one hundred thousand employees worldwide, Sanofi-Aventis is one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. Zenosis is delighted to contribute to their global educational requirements.

Living Links

Living Links is a system developed by the company to maintain the thousands of hyperlinks in our modules. These links allow learners to access external sources of vital regulatory information. In line with our policy of keeping content always up to date, Zenosis monitors links and updates them whenever necessary. With the aid of a link-forwarding database, any change made to a link is effected for every instance of that link in our modules or in PDF files output from them. The system also automatically tests all links daily and flags up any that are not working as they should.

All hyperlinks in Zenosis content are now remotely managed and maintained, regardless of whether we host the content or not. Thus SCORM-compliant versions running on a client's LMS benefit from Living Links. The technology also operates in concert with our substantially enhanced capability to create PDF versions of entire modules for printing or local on-screen study. Viewed on screen, links embedded in the PDF version are maintained just as they are in the module.

Validated compliance with US regulation

Life science companies who wish to manufacture or sell products within the USA are required to comply with the US Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs). Included in these regulations is the requirement that computer systems managing training records must be validated to ensure accuracy, reliability, consistent intended performance, and the ability to discern invalid or altered records. This requirement is enforced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The Zenosis system is already validated as compliant with the relevant regulation, 21 CFR Part 11, which means that our customers don’t have to worry about the huge cost of validating systems themselves. Alternatively, Zenosis can provide SCORM-compliant modules via a validated process to larger companies who wish to run our content on their own validated system. Click here to download FAQs
